Default Did you put your winter skins on yet?

They just announced a winter-storm warning for the mountainous areas of Pennsyltucky, some stations are calling for six to 12; I say phooey, there's no way that that much snow will fly by tomorrow. Currently, I have Sumitomo HRTZIIs with about 1/4 tread left and I'm half-tempted to run home and throw on the Blizzaks. Should I wait it out or bite it and throw the stock wheels and WS-50s on?

It was sleeting here today! I love the mountains (Blacksburg)! *swoon*

Well if you believe in Tire-karma, when you put your winter tires on is when it won't snow for quite some time.

I need to go up to PA for Thanksgiving and it's been known to snow up in the mountains there over Thanksgiving...if it doesn't snow, the temps will atleast be below 40deg...

Winter wheels definately going back on in the next 3 weeks.

S-03's are already kinda scary on cold mornings on exit ramps.

I'm still on my summer tires (Sumitomo HTRs), and won't be able to get winter tires until late-November at the EARLIEST. God help me.

And sometimes that doesn't even stop you.

Ed: "I think I passed Geoff on the way over here. I found it strange that an Impreza was holding up traffic in a snow storm."

I've got failing SP5000's on and a brand spankin' new set of Hakka 1's waiting in the ranks. Just gotta swap the winter tires on and go swap the tires. Currently scanning the coupon sections for deals on tire mountings.

One more autocross this weekend, then the Azenis will probably come off and the RE92's will go back on. All the "winter" tire I need.
