Default Need Help Identifying A Fuse

30a SBF No5

it has blown twice...i'm assuming because their is a short somewhere, but i have no idea what this fuse does.

You didn't say what kind of car you have, but on an '02 Impreza, in the main (engine compartment) fuse box, SBF-5 supplies unswitched (always-on) power to circuit MB-9, which is described as:
Data link connector
Engine control module
Fuel pump relay
Main relay

(As a note, all those items are found in the passenger footwell area).
