Default Installed 20mm anti roll bar

Ordered a 20mm FHI anti roll bar from Lachute subaru last thursday, they had it out of the door friday morning and it arrived last night, all complete and undamaged.

I now see why everybody raves about this mod! My car handles great now, will be giving it a real good workout at the AutoX on tuesday.

I have a Whiteline adjustable 18-22mm one and trying to switch from 20mm to 22mm setting the other day I realised that the bolt supplied by Whiteline did not fit through the 22mm holes on the bar. Is it safe to go out and buy a smaller diameter bolt or not.

Thanks,
Stefan

You can make that bolt fit by using a bigger hammer

Car tuning...hickstyle...

Featuring your favourite mechanic...Markus!

*disclaimer: I am in no way demeaning those who live in the Prairies. I am merely poking fun at Markus and his BARN ways. I am sure the lot of you out there are all very cool people. Markus is the only hippie out there.*

Freeskier,
Seriously, DO NOT use a smaller diameter bolt. Whiteline likely supplied you w/ a Grade 5 or 8 bolt or even better. The local hardware store will NOT stock this strength a bolt or nut. Try shaving off the paint or coating on your bar first, that may be is what is giving you a hastle. If not then do like Markus says and use a BFH, bigger f'n hammer.

BTW, BARN ways seems to always work!

Good Luck
