Default Unmarried AP and Keeping Old Maps

I am about to purchase a Accessport 02-03 for my 02 wagon, My question is, He has it unmarried to this car but I am buying a Map he had tuned for his car on VF39, Pinks, Top Mount, TBE, Uppipe, Intank. My question is, I am going to run the same setup. Can the access Port be Unmarried without lossing any of the programs on it?? I need to know like by tomorrow cause he is coming down to give it to me in Person and I didnt want to pay for a program that when I marry the system to My car it doesnt Work.
Let me know.

once you unmarry it it falshes a stock'esque map back in.

there was an update they offered (firmware) that accidentally unmarried my AP from my car without me linking to the ecu, but i didnt realize it until i reflashed (re-married) the ecu with a new map.

they ahve since taken that update off the web

i believe they are doing this because of marketing and protection. they dont want a person to buy an AP and flash 10 of his freinds' cars with it so everyone is stage 2 with only ong purchase. thats how i understand it anyways. and it makes complete sence for them to do that

He has to unmarry his AP first. And yes you are going to be able to use all the maps he has right now.(the map stays with the AP)

woops i think i misread the post

the available maps stay ont eh AP but when you unmarry it (in my case i was stage 2.5) it would have made my setup impossible to run correctly
