Default Spark Plugs

The car is a 99 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. 2.2L with a 5 speed. I pulled one of the wires out and their was oil on the wire. If im correct their should be a tunnel thats sealed to keep the oil from touching the plugs and wires. So if its leaking what needs to be replaced? A new valve cover or something? Im use to the spark plugs sticking out of the head so this is new to me.

Valve cover gaskets around the plug tubes might be letting oil past. Cheap and easy to replace.

...just don't overtorque the bolts...they snap off in a half a heartbeat.

Beware.
