'06 STi AND '06 2.5i OIL FILTERS

Can you use an oem '06 STi filter for the '06 2.5i? and can anybody tell me what's the difference between the white (US made) and the black (japanese made) oil filter. are they the same quality? thanks!

Mastro Subaru in Tampa told me that the o6's (sti/wrx) have the same oil filters. I bought two white ones....I will buy pureone filters from now on

Black ones are good....but hard to find
