Default World Record holding STi Drag car

Here's some pics to prove that a Subaru can be a successful drag car with the right mods. This car clocked 9.84 over the 1/4 mile at Santa Pod in the UK, on 7th August, with a terminal speed of 143 mph, and is now in the official record books as being the world's fastest manual transmission Impreza. Oh and BTW, it was built by Roger Clark Motorsport, who did the mods on my car.

Matt (on the right) and his brother Olly, who together, are Roger Clark Motorsport.

Fuel cell (race fuel tank), quick filler tube, fuel lines, 4 pumps , and looks to be a cooling system with fans to cool the gas?

Quite correct Scooby Todd. It's a custom built 28 litre FIA bag tank fuel cell, with a rubber/kevlar weave bag, sitting inside the brushed alloy cover, and yes, they are cooling fans for the fuel that you can see in the rear firewall. The red bags on the manifold are filled with dry ice to keep inlet temps down between runs. The car runs with an 8 injector set-up - 800 cc on the top rail and 500 cc on the bottom. It also runs with NOS (nitrous oxide).

The guy who owns the car is from Iceland www.teamice.is and the car stays at RCM when it's not being raced. Even though it's not a road car now, the car does drive like a road car and is extremely docile and easy to handle. The car has twin fuel rails and has two pumps on each side.

My bad, it was 7am when I glanced over the pics. You're right; two pumps, two filters.

I read in a UK mag that its daily driven and is running on a 2.0 liter engine. That was about a year ago and I presume that things probably have been changed since.

That car is sweet!
