Default Stalling at deceleration w/ standalone HELP

First, here's my setup:
VF39 turbo
Link44s WRX standalone
stock modded injectors
3in tbe
stock intake, IC, etc

Ok, everytime I decelerate the rpms will drop down to around 250 then kick back up. The faster I decelerate the more the car will want to die. It has never died, but once. I cannot seem to figure this out. I was wondering if it had something to do with my Clamp setting, which is set to 49kpa. If anyone wants my map I can send it to them to look at it. Everything else though is great! Thanks - Kyle.

Did you properly set the clamp setting? Basically you floor it and snap the throttle closed and look for the lowest map value that car hits, add a couple to that and that should be your clamp value.

did you check for vacuum/boost leaks first? i have a utec in my car so i don't really know about your system, but from the sounds of it, it sounds like a leak. I had those exact symtoms and thats what it turned out to be. just a thought

Did not think vacuum leaks affected a MAP-based system. UTEC is MAF. But thanks for the reply.

On my car (not using a Link) I've found that it coughs like that when the fueling isn't right on. Too rich or too lean and it can have a hard time keeping up a low RPM.

Sounds like your IAC isn't opening enough to catch the RPM drop fast enough.

I highly doubt it's the IAC..it's a problem of the standalone trust me because it's done this ever since I installed it. Also, it only does this once the car is warmed up fully. When cold-started the RPM's don't dip at all.

I know absolutely nothing about the Link.

However, with the Hydra Nemesis, there are several things that cause this:

- Poor fuel tuning at low RPM sites under vacuum
- "Max Vacuum" setting under the idle speed control settings. One sets this to 50-80mmHg more (larger vac number) than the typical vacuum while idling
- "Moving Steps Up" setting under the idle speed control settings. This is a percentage to increase idle speed while the car is still in motion.

Find something similar in your standalone.

I found the problem! Turned out that my Hot Idle Duty Cycle was too low. Had it set to 32% and bumped it up to 36% and no more rpm dips in decel anymore! Thanks for the replies guys. - Kyle
