Default check engine light

i have an 02 rs and periodically my check engine light will come on. it might stay on for about a day and then clear up for about a week and then pop up again. anyone experience the same problem or know what might be the cause.

Take your car to Autozone and have them pull the code. Simple as that. And the light doesn't have to be on for them to pull the code either. Your ECU stores them.

thanks, i wasnt sure if the light needed to be on or not.
