Default GC8: SPT Adjustable Strut Kit vs STi V5 Struts

Hi guys!

My STI Adjustable shocks are going and I am looking for some new ones.

I cannot understand why STI adj cost all in $1500+, whike KYB sells for around $500

How do that SPT compare to the STI v5 struts?

How is the ride quality?

Can the SPT get more aggressive than the STI v5?

According to the recently updated Ravensblade spring rate chart here, the v5 rates are 224/185. That's really similar to v7 or v8 rates. Keep in mind that STi struts are always way overdamped for the springs, so it's hard to know how actual damping rates compare. Also, v5 and v7 struts don't fit on the same car, so a direct comparison is difficult.

What part of the Caribbean are you in? I grew up in Barbados, where a Honda was practically a luxury car, at least compared to the various Suzuki models that were most popular. Amazed me to go back for a friend's wedding a year or two back and see EVOs and WRXs running around.
