Sumatra Lintong Dolok Sangul is up!

The aroma has big chocolate notes, with cedar, leather, and dried apricot notes. When brewed, it's sweet and caramelly, with interesting spice notes, butterscotch, hints of herbaciousness, and stewed plums.

Guys, have you had any experience with pour over coffee/brewing? I've been using a aeropress for my single servings at home and I'm trying to figure a work solution.

Yeah, i was thinking of picking up another for work. I didn't know if pour over business was worth looking into before pulling the trigger.

After some more reading, i think aeropress will be more than fine for my work solution! I just need to pick up an electric water heater of some sort.

No mic close by. I'll probably go electric water heater and get a huge jug or spring water.

I tried pour-over at work, but got tired of the cleanup. Still had to carry grinds, water from the tap was bleh. Gave up and settled for a nice vacuum thermos.

I just carry grounds, throw em in a cup, microwave water, and pour it over the grounds in the cup. Works great.

Nope. Just grind a bit finer, or it'll take forever to saturate and settle.

poison, what's fresh that would be a good morning coffee for a french press.

i generally gravitate towards lighter/medium roasts, but also like a good dark coffee every now and then.

maybe a good recommendation for a lighter roast for the french press and a good espresso for the machine.

good recommendation with the capresso infinity. great grinder and i don't have much of a static problem at all.

Bochet, the ethiopia wote konga is awesome as both espresso and drip. And the colombia tolima is great as presspot.

Nate, just put an order for the columbian. Thanks! Also, I have the infiniti grinder- what do you find best for the Aeropress and the standard paper filters? I've been doing a medium grind that seems to be work. If I go too fine it gets clogged.

Thanks, you lucked out. I was roasting when your order came in. Just play with the grind, adjust it finer and finer until it clogs, then back off. Bottom line is taste in the cup: if it tastes good, you're doing something right.

Need a recommendation for a does-it-itself espresso/coffee machine with a hopper. Has to be a touch a button and decent tasting coffee squirts out. It's for a work breakroom, no one is drinking the swill they have out of the machine.

K-cup is the default right now unless I can come up with something less $$/cup and no clean up mess.

Poison - PM'ing you on related topic
