This one is from Subaru, so it is a Genuine part.

SUBARU HAS DISCONTINUED THE TALLER HOOD SCOOP

Lisa, can you get the scoops painted? I would really love the larger scoop in Platinum Silver for my WRX. But, I don't know of a reputable paint shop...so I would just like to get the whole thing from you guys. So, can you give me a quote with the scoop painted?

Sugar, do you have that IC plate that goes inside/under the scoop? I'm thinking, because even if the scoop is bigger, the size of the hole in that plate is still the same, so it won't let more air in. Probably lets less air down to the IC, and adds more drag too, as now there's this empty open space above the plate that probably creates lots of turbulance and such. Its either new plate or no plate. So I'm trying to track down one of those big plate with the fins in the STi (perhaps even asking my friends in Japan). It'll be cool if I can get it without asking for any favors from ppl.

WHOAH! $135, now I'm impressed. It's good to work with SUBARU isn't it? Are you sure that you have the right part number? That is an STI hood scoop. Please Pm me and I'll give you the right # to compare. Thanks, Lisa.
actually have you ordered a sample to make sure it's the right one?

Painted.. and I'm in for sure.. I want the STi scoop or one that is an exact replica. The pic that you attached seems to be the one I am looking for. I jut don't want to worry about paint matching.

The Sti Hood Scoop comes unpainted.

I can order the scoop and have them painted here in our body shop. It would take about 2 weeks for me to get the hood scoop, and I can have them painted for $70

Total Price for the Sti Hood Scoop $225 painted.

Lisa, sorry for the name mixup. My secretary's name is Pam, and she has been bugging me all morning about how disorganized I am. Thus the confusion.

Wink well here might be some info for you all.

My roomate has a WRX I have a 2000 2.5RS and I took my hood scoop and put it on his WRX cause mine is bigger than his(my stock one mind you) Now after looking at these pictures provided by Sugar(thanks sugar) it looks to me that these larger next gen
WRX scoops are in fact the older GC8 style 2.5RS scoops. Identical in fact. and since they fit the new WRX why didn't they ust bring the bigger scoops to begin with?
