Default Needed new O2 Sensors? I think so

For about 3 weeks now i've been getting my CEL coming on for Cat Effieciency. After a couple of drive cycles it would go away then randomly come back at some other time. On October 21st I installed an Autometer AFR gauge and was happy with the results. But lately i've been watching it and its reaction was getting slower and cruising on the highway on a flat area, with cruise control on.

Well it started to show lean while cruising, even though my vac/boost gauge was still showing a load (~14 inHg of vacuum). This was bad I figured. So i ordered 2 new sensors from subarugenuineparts.com for about $230. I just installed them about 30 minutes ago. Started up my car and let the sensors heat up. Its a night and day difference on my AFR gauge, it was whizzing back and forth so fast while the computer figured out the fuel (reset the computer of course). No more part throttle misfires, runs alot smoother.

I'll get some pictures of the old O2 sensors in the morning, looking at them I am pretty sure the car was running really lean. Last time i changed an O2 sensor in a car they did not look white tipped like mine were.

This is just a reminder that if you suffer from part throttle misfire/bucking when the engine is cold or hot, and you can't figure out what it is (i changed plug wires, new filter, oil, etc.), it might be time to change your front O2 sensor. My car never gave me a code for the front O2, but it definitely needed it.
