Default Jdm Ecu

I have a 02 WRX Sedan (US Spec) in Japan running there premium gasoline (102-104 octane) and was wondering what would happen to my car if I hooked up a JDM GDA ECU to my car. If I can't go that route any suggestions on engine management that I could use to take advantage of those extra octane points?

your ecu is completely fine... it's especially happy with 104 oct too

get a dynotune, you'll be able to take advantage of that octane then
