Default What car should I buy

Yah, I know, get a rex - too bad I can't afford it

So, any opinions as to what car I should buy next?

Preferably not too expensive, with some performance to boot. And no, I don't only want to look at subaru's.

Thanks,

TMR

Ya, for the money those Protege 5 things are hard to beat.
I think they look great and come with lots of options for a $20,000 car.

Well, one of my friend is selling an Integra for $13,000

It's modified quite well, it's at 175hp

It's a Red car, 4 doors, Mugen Headers, Mugen Exhaust System, White Mags, Type-R Spoiler, not sure what lowering springs he has though... He has alot more mods and I can name them if you are interested, even a test drive probably

The only bad part about that is that it's auto... other than that, Damn that car is fast, you might have seen it if you come to Richmond often, it has a white "Powered by Honda" Banner on the windshield.

Protege 5 is a good one IF U ARE NOT GOING TO KEEP IT FOR MORE THAN ITS WARRANTY STANDS...

Mazda is just not a really well made cars and when mileage hits high u will be looking into lots of problem....

but of course....they might have changed for the new one but u never know unless u go try....hehe....

what's ur budget?

get a Impreza L and do color change, engine swap, suspension swap (w/ brakes), etc...

will think costing u $25k or so? will be a good sleeper car too just takes time to build it....or brighton wagon...whatever u pick as u are going to swap out everything....

or u can get a 96 Civic CX...JDM SiR motor swap w/ CTR front and rear brake swap, JDM CTR interior, JDM CTR exterior, build the motor w/ the extra money u got and plan for hybrid later...or Integra GS (B18B) motor is a good move....usually w/ a better condition....supercharge it or turbo charge it....

Here's my suggestion: Acura RSX S-Type, Mazda MP3, Honda Civic Si-R, Toyota Celica GTS, or Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V.

Yeah, if your looking for an Si-R I know 2 for sale right now. I know the owners, and their cars. They are well kept.

Other than that,

Id say MP3 or RSX, both these will be commonplace in no time at all though... the RSX already is...

Maybe a used car would be a better idea.

Im not much help, Im Subaru loyal now

turbo Sprint. Put in a rollcage, suspension, wheel/tires, bigger turbo/IC, more boost, exhaust, the whole works.

even tires u are getting is about 15" sth like 195/45R15....hehe....

Turbo sprint or firelly or Swift GTi is great idea!!! But i have heard that their factory parts are kinda hard to find now because the car is getting old. I am thinking about getting one of those too. Also, those car have high CGs and if you plan to autoX those, and u are not fully aware about your cars performance, its quite dangerous. There was one old Forsa Turbo that flipped in autoX last year and that guy has the car lowered and he has been driving it for a while, not exactly amateur. Thats the main thing that i worry about for these cars.

Ashtaron, sorry to say those Ferraris are a dime-a-dozen, yes the REAL ones! I know 3 people who have them, all of them under the age of 30. There is also another one that some guy at a muffler shop near me owns. Never forget the fact that these are all in Surrey, so that should say something too!
