AP 2.5 with vf37?
how safe will the map be for the VF 37?
the vf34 91 oct map for the vf37 with supporting mods? how diffrent can the maps be? right now im getting boost about .01mpa around 3,500 rpm and getting around .013 mpa peak boost. im not really driving hard till i get a protune but its kinda fun just keep it under 3500 for easy driving but still can have fun up top. well ill post all the dyno sheets when i get a tune.

do you think it is safe to run a autox with the 2.5 and not get a protune.
i know i need a protune but do you think the parameter for the 34 is safe enough for the 37??? thanks |

i can feel that the turbo has more in it. but just wondering is it safe for an autox?
i think that daily driving should be ok but the stress of an autox?? |

sorry, that was sarcasm. you should definitely get a custom tune for that.

i see the sarcasm kenny I would personally stay out of boost until you can get a tune. DEF NO auto-x. Like jaxx said, that's a pretty different turbo setup to run an OTS map on.

what will be the long term damage that may be caused if i dont get a tune for awhile??
well peak boost should be the same so i guess upper rpm range will be similar but down low that will be the problem due to the fact the spool characteristic are very diffrent. which may be running very lean on on/off throttle. am i correct? |

The VF37 also has better top-end as the twin scroll has less exhaust pulse interference at high RPMs... So get a tune... |

FWIW, I ran my vf37 with the regular vf39 map for a month or so without any problems. No det, overboosting, etc. It wasn't particularly cold at the time though, and I never ran an autocross on it. You can always run the stock map if you're concerned though. It's conservative enough to be safe.

You're going to have lean spots and high egt's in places if you run the stock map on that setup. It won't boost the same either.
