Default 96 000KM Service Questions

I have a 02 WRX Sedan.

Its almost time for my 96 000km (roughly 60 000mile) service.

I plan on having the work done by one of my mechanic friends.

Is there any benefit to taking my car to a Subaru dealer and pay almost $500 CDN for maintainence?

Only if your friend doesn't have the right tools for the job or doesn't know what he is doing.

Only question is will or can your friend do a proper job. Not too much big stuff to do except for replacing the coolant ( requires proper bleeding per owner manual), flushing brake fluid and changing spark plugs. Most remaing is inspections except engine oil, maybe transmission and differental lubs.
