Default ECU Install question

The ecu in my 02 WRX has to be replaced and I was wondering how easy it would be to DIY. I did a search and couldn't find anything on the topic. It looks like 2 wire harnesses and a couple bolts on subaruparts.com and I would have to take out the glove box to do it. Am I right? Is it something I better leave to a mechanic to do before I break something. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I maintain all the systems on aircraft to give you an idea on how much I can manage on my own. Thanks in advance for all your inputs.

The ECU is under the passenger side carpet footwell. Easy to replace.

If you work on aircraft then it will be a walk in the park.

Wow... This was ridiculously easy to do! Pull up the trim on the door sill and the remaining screw thing holding down the carpet up under the glove box and pull the front of the carpet up and there it is under that panel. Pretty much if you know what a wrench is, you can take this thing out. Thanks for your help!
