I have been doing some searching through the forum and cant seem to come up with a definitive answer. if i have a 02 wrx, and am swapping in a 05 sti motor, aside from everything else, since the 05 sti motor is drive by wire, and the 02 is not, how could this be made to work? if i drop in the sti motor as is and use the sti ecu, the car still does not have all the necessary hardware to use the DBW system (ie pedal sensors). if i swapped out the TB and intake manifold, the sti ecu neccessary to make the motor run, will still want the dbw system, and will not work with the cable system... i dont know i am confused on this right now, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

get a v7 ECU, lose the DBW throttle body, lose the tumbler valve and be done with it
or run the motor on your stock ECU and reflash it but the AVCS won't work and make sure you switch the throttle bodys/engine harnes as well |

I have done a small amount of searching for this and it seems it would be easier to just add the hardware for dbw and go that rout.
