Default Intelligent design has nothing to do with religion!!

Busted a** liars!! If it's not, than why would one of the big I.D. proponents be saying this?

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club"

Well you SHOULD give a rat's ass, cuz there are enough idiots like Robertson out there, that they got Evolution to be questioned in Kansas schools as part of their curriculum.

These F'ers won't go away, when sane citizens just sit on their ass and allow these religious kooks to get elected into offices like the School Board in Kansas. They have the backing of big money groups like the Christian Coalition and other right wing freaks, so they won't go away unless voters shun them as candidates - like what happened in PA luckily.

what i don't understand is how the christian proponents of all this I.D. bunk do not see the hyprocisy in their own actions trying to push their FAITH as fact.

the whole definition of faith is not knowing it as fact, and just believing.

christ almighty

i have no proof, so dont ask for any.

Who's sitting back?? The local citizens just voted OUT all 8 school board members who were up for re-election. These are the idiots who were behind instituting this Intelligent design claim into their curriculum. The ninth seat wasn't up but I suspect they would've been out of a job too!

I think it's so funny that these I.D. guys try to say that it's NOT religion based, instead all science base, hence their argument that it should be included like evolution. But now, the cheap coat of paint on creation/I.D. has officialy been removed by good ol Pat

I was a died in thw wool, allways vote republican kind of guy, but...

I'm sick and tired of the far right wing religious fundamintalists (sp?) sticking their religion into the countrys politics - and now - into science!

IT IS possible to be a moderate republican AND beleive in the theory of evolution. IT IS also mandatory that we maintain SEPERATION of church and state.

Comments made by Robertson and those of his ilk amount to tantamount religious persecution. Isn't
that one of the very reasons that our forefathers left the old continent and came to settle AMERICA?

The problem with fundamintalists is this: THEY BELEIVE IN THEIR ABSOLUTE SUPERIORITY. THEY BELEIVE THAT THEY HAVE A MANDATE FROM GOD. THEY BELEIVE IF YOUR OPINION VARYIES TO THE SLIGHTEST DEGREE THAT:

A. YOU ARE WRONG AND SHOULD BE SMOTE

B. THAT YOU WILL BURN IN HELL

C. THAT THEY HAVE A CLEAR SHOT TO DO/ SAY/ INFER ANYTHING TO SMEAR YOUR GOOD NAME.

I was raised to beleive that interpetation of religious beleifs and christian actions should be based upon what JESUS displayed and taught in the BIBLE. Religious fundamintalist creeps beleive that THEY are ones who should decide what constitutes true religious beleifs, values and actions. IT JUST AINT SO!!!!!!

I agree with a previous poster - PAT ROBERTSON and the other nuts like him will oneday be satans ass monkey!

O.K. Now that I've got that off my chest, I'll calm down...

Yeah, I'm pretty conservative fiscaly. Socialy I lean more liberal, but I never vote just one way or another. I just can't see how anyone truly believes in every stance that the right or left wings make. I voted for Clinton, then voted for Bush, first round. Secound round, I voted Kerry. Next election, hopefuly there is a decent choice to pick from. Jesse "The Mind" Ventura, as he wanted to be known when he was the governer here was a guy who mixed up the status quo here. He said "Organized religion is a crutch for the weak minded" man, I remember that P.O'd some people here. I didn't vote for him, but hey, he at least made sure that the excess taxes that we paid to the state was refunded instead of usually going to some pork project. That won kudos with me.

Agreed.

For the record:

OT + Christianity = 10000 pages of crying, trying to prove each other wrong, and people trying to convert people that normally ends up with name calling and angry people.
