More importantly, what are you looking to do with this upgrade. This would give people a better idea of what would suit your needs the best.

1) Decide what your goals are.
2) Determine your budget.

That's a very broad goal. Are you looking for spool up or top end? Also consider that you'll need a pretty big turbo to accomplish 450hp (I'm assuming whp?) and a whole slew of other supporting engine and transmition mods to have that kind of power reliably.

Hi - Are you looking to make 450 crank hp or 450whp? Is this going in a WRX or STi?

Let us know.

Thanks,
Preston

Then call all the vendors that you listed and see what they have to offer. Write notes on your conversations and then decide which one offers what you're looking for from the standpoint of long block or short block. What are you doing for heads on this thing (assuming short block)? Each one of the vendors mentioned can get you to 450whp, so I would say that its more important that you're fully aware of what else is needed to accomplish that. Have you looked into a JDM swap? A v7 or v8 should be capable of what you're looking for.
