Default Need help with 06 STi

I wasn't sure where to post this so I decided to start here.

I've been putting parts on for this kid, and he is complaining of a very hard clutch pedal after spirited/hard driving.

So far I've install;

Invidia Downpipe and Cat-Back
GFB BOV
K&N Intake
TurboXS Utec (on stg 2 map)

I know nothing I've installed so far will affect the clutch in anyway. Has anyone else run into this on the new 06's?

hmm...non of those things directly related to the clutch. I bet he's been racing and driving it hard. Try changing the fluid out...but how many miles has he put on it? It's only an 06 right? Did he break it in properly cause that' important?

Mines the same stiffness as it was when i bought it from the dealership (2500 miles ago). It's probably due to driver error.

It only has 3800 miles and it was broken in properly. Hes too scared to actually race it, or beat on it the way I have test driving it.

He is dropping the car off to me Saturday for headers, and fuel pump. I'll test drive the car and see what I feel.

Wait, does this guy think that the way the kid drives is is going to make the clutch hard? (just clarifying that)

It needs to go back to stock and go to the dealership. Then once fixed, dont bother putting the BOV back on.

+1 for that. This doesn't sound like a mod-related problem, but the dealer will certainly see it as such.

My friends 2003 WRX had a stiffer clutch pedal than my 2001 2.5RS Or 2004 WRX and my 2006 WRX has a lighter clutch pedal than my 2004 WRX and it just feels different but I think that is because they switched from either a pull type clutch to a push type clutch or vice versa. I've driven a couple 2004-2005 STI's and pressed the clutch in a 2006 and they felt pretty much similiar. Although it seems that with age, the 2003-2004 wrx's get stiffer clutch pedals.
