Default 2000 2.5RS w/86k mi on the odometer P0325 on startup?

Really odd happenings this week.

I started the car up yesterday at 5pm after work only to immediately see a CEL pop up.

I pulled the code and got P0325.
"Knock Sensor 1
Circuit Malfunction
Bank 1 or 1 Sensor"

I cleared the code to see if it would come back in the AM when I started the car to go to work. I started it at about 8am today after a good 12 hours of sitting and no CEL.

At 3pm today when I went to leave work (car sat for 5 hours), CEL popped up right as the motor started.

I'm guessing it's the same code.

According to this:

Looks like a new knock sensor might be needed eh? Plugs too by the time this thing is installed probably =P

Only motor mod is an Injen CAI.

TWE =L Headers going on this weekend when I reseal the back of the block =)

Yes, you'll need the new knock sensor. IIRC, it cost me about $60 from Subaru Genuine Parts (or Subie Gal - I got the link from her)

It's easy to get off, but getting it back in can be a bit annoying if you've larger hands like I.

Since I replaced it, no more P0325! and that's the best part.

Figured.

I'm taking the motor out again this weekend, so it'll be easy to replace.
