Would the minnam intake from my RS fit on my new wagon?
(RS was a 98 wagon is a 2001). Thaaanks. Also, looking for opinions on a suspension set up for the wagon. I am not going for coilovers but will get a spring/shock combo.

Your new car doesn't have a MAF so that's one less thing you'll need to hook up to your intake tube. You may need an adaper to connect your filter to your tube. Ask Keiho or Mirage or anyone else with a Minnam intake and +MY00 how the filter is attached.

tora... if an ej22/ej25 bg/bd legacy intake will work on your year, i might have something used for u in an adapter and filter (no pipe though). i bought a jcsports cai retrofit kit for our wagon and i cannot not use the above listed parts anymore.

I already have the filter and pipe and they are together. I am just wondering if the pipe will connect to the engine correctly and not be in the way of anything. Does anyone have a Minnam on a 2000-01 2.5liter? Is KYB/H&R the only option....then there you have it.

It should fit. I don't see why not...same motor...if anything, you'll have a bigger space to put on the intake.
Kayaba/H&R...can't go wrong with it! ![]() |

Keiho: it might be good on ur GC....but AC says on his Legacy is kinda soft....probably due to diff of the car weight?

Try the K&N insert, then remove all the air chambers and replace that with a hose to the snorkel on the core support. Then remove the air defector from the hood. Better yet bore out the air filter houseing to 3" then hook to overbored air scoop on core support with 3" ABS flexable drain pipe.
PS I'll be in town tomorrow around 3pm I'll be playing at Nick North every AM until Saturday. So I can show you if you need. |

I could go PDM style on the filter but thing is I already have the minnam intake plus GReddy filter from my last car and I would like to use it if possible. If it doesn't work I will sell that unit and do PDM.
As for Springs/shocks, I would like something economical and with performance. I think whatever the best deal is give or take a couple hundred I will go for. If I can get a better setup up for a couple hundred more I will do that. Or, if anyone is selling coilovers for legacy.....yummy!! |

You've spent quite a pretty penny on the Minnam intake. It should bolt straight up - brackets and everything!

3,000 k's in a week and a half....not quite.
I am just hovering over 500k's right now and I have not even filled with gas yet. Got it from the dealer (specialty of course) with a full tank and am just scraping on empty now. I'll fill it before coming home. Amazing how much gas I save when driving carefully for the break in. Minnam it is. UD pulley as well to go on there. |
