Default Stage 3 is crap!

Went from a xpt stage 2 map to th UTEC with its stage 3 map and what a difference, the stage 2 map pulled so much harder. Mods are as follows TBE, Up-Pipe, MBC, Walbro 255, SRI, and FMIC. Looking for a map that runs better, please help.

Do you still have the TD04?

What is the max boost you're seeing. What's the target?

Yes still using the factory td04 turbo, all boost settings are set to whatever the stage 3 map comes with.

Okay. You also have a manual boost controller?

Does the stage 3 map utilize the mbc or the stock electronic boost solenoid?

All txs ots maps use the stock bcs with the abc bleeder. Your map feels like crap probably because its just an ots map. Not a tuned map like the xpt.

Bigger question is did you reflash the car back to stock when you went utec?

The car was not flashed back to stock, my laptop hardrive went shortly after the the reflash. I talked to a few people (Agile Auto) and was told it would run just fine on top of the xpt map because the utec takes full control after the crossover. I guess what I'm looking for is to see if anyone sells or has a better ots map than the turbo xs map.

It would be best to put the stock map on underneath.

Hill at Agile doesn't like using the UTEC.

Admittedly, he is not a good source for information on this device.

TurboXS is just a call away, and they will tell you the same thing everyone else here says:

You have a base map, not a tuned map. Get it tuned, or tune it, and you will get a similar performance level (if not better).

You bought a UTEC=User Tunable Engine Computer.

You (the user) can adjust it for your car or pay a professional like TurboXS to dyno tune it.

I had a safe road tune from a reliable source, then a Jermain tune at TXS on the dyno. Big difference! As a cheap-skate that also avoided a real dyno tune for a long time, my advice is call TXS and just get it done.

does anyone know what the specs could be on my stage 2 wrx 2009 with the parts i can list if it's tuned right for stage 3? and i'm at altitude in tahoe, which makes a big diff, anyway however, I am planning to get new perrin eq headers, new id injectors, new dw pump, a new grimspeed uppipe and a new torque solutions intercooler. can anyone tell me what i should be expecting to see as a percentage increase?
