Thankfully he doesn't have a license. He may have a lawyer, but he can't have the kind of money to fight the State like that douchebag guy with the Ferrari did (the guy that killed the 23yr old mother and her 4 yr old daugher a few months back)

Don't know the specific guy, know several like him. Due to the nature of my job, I run across folks like him. Big reason why you will only be able to get two supervision periods in one year before taking convictions.

What a crock of ****. Chronic Excessive Speeding? How about Families Against Stupid People That Can't Control Their Vehicle?

I say give him back his license, hopefully he'll run some of these conservative pricks over.

I have no respect for our legal system.

Or the people that run it.

While this kid was far from an angel & his speeding did contribute to the accident, IMO the true cause was the inexeperienced 16 year old kid pulling out in front of him turning left onto 75'th while he & Valbert were heading west on Ogden/34 in Aurora. Not that it makes it any better, with his age & that many tickets he shouldn't have been driving.

Very sad when two young Innocent lives are taken & the ****head walks away without a scratch.

They needed to post a picture of this guy. I know tons of people from Big Rock. In IL if you get 3 tickets they take your license for three months. 27X3=81. What the hell is he doing driving anyway.

All that and all they did was take his license? He should a least be on probation or something. Who's to say he wont jump in a car and drive without it.

Who cares how many speeding tickets he has? I have no problem with people who speed and I think taking someone's license because of it is retarded. The four accidents on the other hand, prove the moron has no buisness behind the wheel. I think you need to look at someone's overall driving record. I know quite a few people with over 20 tickets but no accidents.

I agree with some here, it's not a matter of if you speed, but how and where. On residential streets and in town, going 70 means you have no concept of the repercussions. His lack of common sense should be reason enough for him to not be allowed to drive.

It's one thing to have a clear interstate, no traffic, good weather. But to go what may be double the speed limit (I'm not familiar with Ogden on that stretch) in an urban area? Idiot.

f the legal system I've had 4 bs tickets in the last 4 months (may have actually deserved one, i'll admit that). I guess I'm a cronic speeder and shouldn't have my license

Speeding doesn't cause accidents. Driving to fast for the conditions does. 80 mph (hell even 90mph) is not too safe for the conditions on highway with light traffic.

I had two tickets for 60 in 35mph (both only car on dead straight back road) and one 84 in 55 (interstate) and I was the only car on the road So if i'm doing 50-60 and someone crosses the double and hits me I'm to blame Yeah whatever.

Everyone knows speed limits are set for monetary/revenue reasons and have little to do with safety. They could make the interstate more safe by raising the limit to 70/75 mph (# of accidents actually goes down), but then the state would lose money

Speed limits are 55 in Illinois.. but I regularly do upwards of 90 on interstates.

90 = passing most people
80 = passing some people
70 = decent, but everyone is passing you
60 = you are now a road hazard

I was cruising along with a Cobra and a TA at about 85mph on a 55mph zone of the interstate. State Trooper catches up to us doing about 120.. then slows to our speed.. looks at each one, waves to us, and goes on doing 120. As long as you look like you are doing what ur supposed to be doing, ur fine. If you're weaving in and out of traffic doing 5 mph over the limit.. they will nail you.

The limit is 65 mph outside of the city and burbs. For the most part, you are right. Then again, I've been ticketed for going 64 mph in a 55 (Chicago cop on I-190).

I think in city limits, anything over 15 mph above the limit is just crazy. Never know when a car or kid is going to run out in front of you.

27 tickets since 1999, so for 5 years of driving (hasn't been the last year), 5+ tickets a year. One has to be completely oblivious to thier sorroundings to get that many tickets, that consistently. Plus, they didn't teach him anything, like if an officer is nearby SLOW DOWN!, or hey, maybe if I don't speed I won't get tickets.

I don't agree with 55 mph speedlimits on open roads, but 27 tickets in 5 years is a sign of a MORON. Either unaware of his sorroundings, or Indifferent to them. eitherway, I wouldn't want to drive near him; he is unsafe.

Yup.

If anything it proves he isn't aware of what's around him; I've paid for four speeding tickets since I started driving over the last fifteen years, and like most people rarely stay within the speed limit. The accidents confirm this guy just doesn't pay attention.

Like my Dad said when I started driving "expect every car around you to do the stupidest thing imaginable, and be ready to react."

I got my license in 97 or 98. I had two speeding tickets before I turned 21 and lost my license for 3 months (in Illinois). I don't understand how a guy like this can have 27 tickets (and 5 accidents?) and have killed 2 people and still be allowed to be within 100 feet of a car in this state. I think he should be in jail.

Heh, young'un. I had 3 speding tickets within the first year I had my license and didn't get anything more than supervision and defensive driving courses.

Then again, the younger society gets, it seems, the less they seem to feel they need to be responsible for their own actions. That two tickets and 3 months suspension seems a little harsh, though... was that within a year of getting the license in the first place?
