Default Trailer Connector

My Legacy Outback service manual calls out a "Trailer Connector R45" on two of the wiring diagram pages. Does anyone know where this connector is physically located? I don't wish to disembowel the interior of the car to find it.

On my Impreza it's a socket on wires just behind the LH tail light.
It accepts the wiring in the Subaru towing kit.
That's UK spec BTW.

Dig around near the spare tire. The one in my WRX wagon was pretty well hidden.
