invidia uppipe EGT bung but no sensor for it on 05 STI

my dad and i currently put on an invidia uppipe and downpipe for my 05 STI but when we took off the old uppipe there was no hole for a sensor but my new invidia uppipe had a hole. we put a bold in the hole but the check engine light comes on and my cruise light flashes. what do i do or need to get. any help would be most appreciated

is the downpipe catless? thats your problem, you need either a mechnical or electrical fix.

The bolt will work just fine. It is normal for the CEL to come on w/ downpipe install. Search for "CEL fix" and you should find everything you need to correct your CEL. When the CEL light comes on it automatically disables your cruise control. So, that's normal too.

why are you replacing your stock up pipe with an inferior aftermarket up pipe?

Put your stock up pipe back in and sell the Invidia, but only after you find the person who told you to put it in there and beat them with it.
