Default FP Green fitment problem on 2.5block

I have a 2.5 built block but im still using wrx heads. i have this in my 02 wrx. ij ust picked up a fp green with the upppipe with tial 38 mm wastegate. i went to put it on today and the green was hitting my tranny case and wasnt letting the uppipe and headers meet. there was about a inch gap. has anyone else had this problem? i have the jdm 6 speed in there. the turbo came off a 02 wrx with my same mods but i assume he was using the stock 5 speed and didnt have the problem i had. what has everyone done about this or should it fit with no grinding of the tranny case? thanks for any help

What green is this, and what external gate set-up? Who did you buy it from?

Yea that is not the Ur uppipe. I asked which green because it sounded like my old set-up which i sold to a member on here. It was the old style green with larger compressor cover, and 8cm turbine, with UR uppipe, and tial. Get out the grinder!

is that who you sold it to? yea this one is a flex pipe. is that pretty much my only option is to grind down the corner of the tranny case?? would it be the easiest to just take out the transmission bolt and grind the corner down then put a few tack weld where the bolt should be just for added strength? i think ill have to grind down to much to leave the bolt in. but you had this same problem?

I'm assuming he was on the 5speed and had the uppipe/wastegate set up fabricated?...
was it a kit made for the WRX with the 5 speed tranny?...

if the tranny is the problem I'd be more than happy to trade
