Tom - you should be enjoying the nice and relaxing long weekend instead of working.
Folks - I've been running a test set of these for Tom for a couple of months now. I like them. When I heel and toe or just blip the trottle to downshift I put my hand out to gently rest it on the knob at the same time as the pedal motion in anticipation of downshift. Used to be that there was a little bit of motion from the stick and my hand would land a little off center. I would have to adjust before starting the stick work. These little bushings keep the tranny from deflecting so much, and I don't have to make such large adjustments to catch the knob in that "just right" feeling. In other words, they get a thumbs up from me. BTW, if you have stiffened tranny mounts these stock bushings will be your next point of deflection. If you want to enjoy the full potential that stiffer mounts have to offer then just do these while you're at it. -Clint |

Yay for kartboy. I was trying to get the carbing ones, but since these are here,I'll most likely get these. Great timing Tom! The stock ones are REALLY REALLY soft. Probably one of THE softest bushings in the drivetrain and should be upgraded especially if you have upgraded tranny mounts as the tranny mounts will just force these little suckers around even more.
Here are some pics ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the extra pix.
the only thing you will have to do is trim off the "nubs" off of one set of the bushings. it was easier( and cheaper) to make just one tooling. it will cut right off with a razor blade. just be carefull! Tom |

I just installed the Group N ones yesterday. Now I finally have a drivetrain that stays put!
Cusco and STI Group N, front to rear = ![]() The Kartboy offerings will be definitely easier to source and are most likely identical in terms of performance. Not to mention that he is an excellent vendor to deal with. Bump! |

that is the correct ones. were going to try and redo the site shortly since were adding a lot of new goodies in the upcoming months. there might be a little more vibrations in the shifter but i dont think it will be that noticable. the only thing you will have to modify with these bushings is to take the nubs off of one pair of them. it was cheaper to make only one tool for these. shouldnt take more than a few seconds with a razor blade. just watch you fingers kiddies. *Sigh*
Kartboy owns me. ![]() Order placed. Dumb question - which set goes where? I didn't really pay attention when I swapped the tranny mount, so I want to make sure that I install these correctly. Last edited by BSDJ; 11-28-2005 at 10:59 PM. |

Thanks for the feedback! Back at ya! That also reminded me and showed me how to leave feedback for a local guy that sold me a laptop, so double thanks.
I was a little foggy this morning and forgot that you did tell me about those. Need anything from Jabel Ali, United Arab Emirates? And if I didn't mention it, the wonderful folks at TiC have a box on the way to my house with goodies. I heart them. But not as much as you! |
