Looking at the JD Power initial mechanical quality ratings for the 2004-05 WRX on the cars.com now has me worried - below average? I thought scoobies held up well?

my friend looked at that car and was real close to buying it. As it worked out something didn't seem right about the car..I think it had a lot of damage to the drivers side door that you could only see at a certain angle. I think he said that he could make out ripples and stuff to indicate a shoddy repair job on the door. That was the deal breaker for him otherwise he would have bought it.

I looked at that blue RS before they posted it on the internet.
This is what I found wrong: - There are scratches on the driverside front fender, bumper - There is a bad patch job on the passenger door that you can see when you're looking at it from an angle - The driverside door does not close fully even after adjustment - The leather on the center console on the driverside is a worn/torn - Altezza tail lights Other than those, the engine seemed strong when I test drove it and the car seemed solid. I never got the car because the salesman made me feel uneasy about the situation. He didn't seem to know a lot about the business and confused me on a lot of things. I brought my dad with me to see if I could get a lower interest rate but when we ran the application they said something was wrong with my dad's financial information, which was completely false. So we just walked out. CJ Last edited by K Rock Impreza; 11-30-2005 at 05:47 PM. |
