Default tried searching, didnt know where to put this

I was buying the oil filter for my car, and they didnt have the Mobil 1 filter specified for my 2.5RS so I picked up the one for the STi...will thie STi filter be ok or should I def look for the 2.5RS filter?

I think it would work. But if the part numbers are different I wouldn't do it. It's just makes better sense to return that one and get the right one. Purolator make a great filter.

yes it will work

subaru has discontinued the "NA" oil filter

now all filters are the same.

NA, Turbo = same oil filter

the only current model with a different filter is the H6.

so yes, you will be just fine.

thank you so very much, now I know I can just keep gettin this filter instead of trying to hunt down a seemingly non existant filter

Is the STi filter larger than the old RS filter? That filter is stupid tiny.. about 1cup capacity.

Capacity matters not, filtration is what matters. You can have a filter the size of a loaf of bread that will not filter a penny or you can have a tiny Purolator Pure One filter that will filter down to 5 microns or near HEPA levels. I'll move this for you.
