Default Does anyone else get rocks stuck in thier brakes this often?

I drive on a lot of country roads and it seems like I get a rock in my brakes every couple of months. I've had this happen with other cars but never this often. I've got stock wheels and brakes if it makes a difference. Are Subaru wheels designed to throw rocks into the brakes?

Yep, designed on purpose. I've been through a few hundred miles of gravel roads but only had this happen once - makes a hellacious noise!

Yup, its happened to me before in my wrx. Once a rock found its way in during an autocross run...I thought there was some MAJOR damage but all was well once it fell out.

If you look very close at the wheels on some JGTC and ALMS race cars, they use a type of scraper that in their case is used to provent the excess rubber (marbles) from the track from getting inside the wheel area. We made that once for rocks also after you come out of the gravel traps. Yes sometimes when you set up a car, you can anticipate going in the gravel traps
