My '96 L AWD sedan has about 90k miles on the clock and I just changed the clutch. It probably should have lasted longer but, I BEAT that car like a read-headed step-child for the first 80,000 miles and then I gave it to my g/f when I got the WRX (which I DON'T beat on). I also got 75,000 miles out of the stock front brakes the rear drums finally went at 90k miles. I also had to replace the front strtuts at 90k miles. I've been really impressed with the durability of the car.

Hehe someone stole an old DL?
No offense; I had an 88 before trading it in on my 95 Impreza.I have 134K on the Impreza stock clutch, but that car has a LOT of highway miles on it. The clutch is still very pleasant to use though. Tyson |

My 99RS was slipping pretty badly at 30k, by 34k I had enough, so I finally broke down and upgraded. My only engine mods were intake and exhaust. But I love racing my car, and dropping the clutch at 4k was usually fun!
Hope this helps, Scott |

I've got a little under 91k on my stock clutch on my 96 Brighton and it is just starting to slip. I've already ordered an ACT clutch kit and should be putting it in on the 22nd or 23rd.

My MY00 2.5RS clutch lasted til 14k mi before the pressure plate cracked. Prior to that, it was chattering a lot.
My WRX clutch started chattering at around 3000 miles. |
