Default CT-Anyone have experience with any of these tire places?

So I need to get new tires and I'm leaning toward the Falken Ziex 512's. Problem is it looks like only two places near me carry Falken Tires, Sears Auto in West Hartford or Tires Plus Wheels in Hartford. I normally would go to Town Fair Tire since I've had a good experience with that company but I'm really hearing good things about these tires for the price. Tires Plus Wheels is a BBB member and there don't seem to be any complaints against them on the BBB web site. Still, some first hand experience would be nice. I'm just looking to get the tires, get them mounted, balanced, and the alignment done. Nothing too crazy. If anyone has any firsthand experience let me know. I've read lots of scary stuff about Sears auto so I'm thinking it's tires plus wheels or I'll get a different tire from Town Fair.

why dont you just order the tires from say discount tire online(they carry falkens) and just find a place in the area to get them mounted, thats what did. Sometimes they have free shipping and you save on not playing sales tax. If your near the new britain area i know place that will mount tires for $75 and do a good job. Tires plus wheels.. never been there before, but their "g" attitude makes me stay away... "get em on and poppin"

Tires.com 205/55/16 $70 Each with Free Shipping. National Tire in Glastonbury does cheap mounting and balancing, its just off RT 2.

If you go into town fair with the price and the tire you want, they will usually work with you. I was able to get exactly the tire I wanted at the same price each would have cost, with the shipping, from the tire rack.
Add in the free mounting, and you're spending less than the online guys.

Try Tire City in East Hartford. They definately sell Falken tires. Thier prices used to be very good. Now they have changed thier prices and seem to be a little higher, but they are quite flexible. You talk to the owner directly so that's a plus.

+1 on this comment. I've done this with my local Town Fair when purchasing Falken 215's & 615's.

Town Fair does price matching.....I've done this lots of times. Just print out an invoice with price including shipping and they will typically match it or come close.

cool I'll bring a print out to Town Fair when I go on Friday to see if they can get me the Falkens for a good price. Thanks guys! I've always had a good experience with Town Fair (they were able to find a 13" tire for my old Escort that made it actually driveable in snow instead of the ice skate it was on the stockers) so I'd like to stick with them if it's reasonable.
Oh and yeah Tires Plus Wheels did seem pretty ghetto to me but you never know. Though once I did the map and saw where it is, yeah a little ghetto. sometimes I cut through that way when 91 South is backed up and while it's not unsafe, I'm not sure my stereo would be there when they were done with the car

Well I was able to get them from Town Fair but they had to special order them. It was a little more expensive than I'd have liked (83 per tire) but not too bad, 475 total for everything.
I emailed tires plus wheels and they just got back to me today and quoted 432 for everything (they said they have some internet special where they do the 4 wheel alignment free) which is probably the difference in price.
I'm going to stick with townfair but I'm going to bring a copy of the email with me when the tires come in to see if they can match it but if not no big deal I'd rather deal with Town Fair.
