Default Temperature guage???

My 96 legacy l stock temperature guage never moves its always in the middle even when the car is off. Dose that mean it just dont work? If so is there a way i can test it to see if maybe its just the sensor? I did search and came up with nothing

Did you spell it gauge instead of guage? :P

It sounds like the sensor is bad or the needle is stuck.

With no power shouldn't the gauge drop to zero?

Haven't looked, but if thats the case, then clearly the gauge is bad.

I'll check when I drive to work tomorrow.
