Default Forester Exhaust

Ok heres the deal. I am getting intrested in replacing the exhaust system on the Forester. I would prefer to do headers with stock cats then new from the cats back.

What I want:
Performance gaines that are worth the price of the exhaust.
Nce sound (every day driver so I dont want some obnoxious
drone when taking a long ride)
High quality materials, welds and bends.

What I DONT want:
Check engine light popping on

I have been reading all sorts of things on the N/A board a lot of which is contradicting each other. I figgered that I would post the question here as I am looking for a system that fits the Forester.

Unhappy

WhiteWolf check out the link -->pics of Rallispec Exhaust I've had the system for about 5 months now and love it! Nice mellow sound, but good rumble at wot. I have it on a auto so with a 5 speed it would sound a little different when you downshift. Construction is full stainless steel from the cat back and only requires two bolts (supplied) to install. I did it in a half hour alone without having to jack the car up. hope this helps. uhhh...nevermind, I'm just speechless now..how sad to see a great company go...

Unhappy Yep, looks like yours will be the only one

I'm bummed. I was planning on going to them either after I had the 30K service done or when the 3/36K drivetrain warranty ran out, but it's a moot point now. Hopefully Dave, Andrew and Jorge will pop up in some future iteration of Rallispec (not ready to pull their card from my Rolodex) but for now I imagine they're so toasted from the stress of the biz that they'll take a good long time out to pursue their own interests...as it should be.

Will be pm'ing you, ferretboy.

White Wolf,
You could have a local muffler shop bend one up for you. i'd go against them cutting off anything on your stock catback, but instead would find a shop that can do one up with the stock flange positions and such so that if you have to reinstall your stocker for smog etc. you can. Go with 2.25" with a magnaflow resonator and rear muffler. Stainless would be nice, but pricey...aluminized steel works if you don't see lots of snow and stuff.
