Default just moved to cali, advice needed please

howdy yal, just moved here from houston, tx. i was wondering if anyone knew a good brake shop. i'm thinking about gettin a big brake kit but thats in a few months. meanwhile, my brakes are completely shot. rotors and pads are farked. looking for place that carries oem rotors with experienced brake techs. suby dealership are kinda pricy, the more i can save now on stock brakes, the sooner i can afford the upgrade. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. cali is pretty kickass so far

since you fellas are so helpful, which 3"catback do you suggest. currently i have a half-ass turboback system going. 3" downpipe and high flow cat(randomtechnologies), catback consists of 3" pipes and muffler welded together. lookin to replace rearend. ive seen a lot of subys lately with pretty straight catback systems, who makes those straight ones? seen some on ebay but w/e. no more ebay for me ever...

if you dont have any engine managment than just stick with the one you have..it wont help you gain any power by switching unless you tune for it..maybe 2~5hp. you are better off getting a dumpvalve instead...

dang 'underboosted' where were u when i needed a little bit of help with my car?! hahahaa
i would've bought u like a 30 pack to do my suspension and everything!! After the install of course because i wouldn't want a half decent guy working on my suspension...

but hey txwes if u need a good place to buy the brake components i know of a couple good places to buy them from around the area (in the valley)...let me know!

not sure if your being sarcstic or not?..either way suspension would have cost a bit more, being as it is a want, and not a need

but whatever, i work for little money and cheap beer, i just dont like seeing people get ripped off by some greasy @sshole charging $80 p/h to do simple stuff like brakes, or suspension for that matter...now clutches...thats a whole different story...PITA, and i hate doing them on subarus

Underboosted your the man. I wish there were some more people out there like you. I'm moving down to San Diego in about 4 months, and if I need some help I hope you're still around and willing. There should be more people out there lending a hand and helping people who want to learn.
