Thumbs up THE BEST !!!!

Yep. I agree and will put my life on the line on this one.

www.subyspecialties.com is the best!

There is no one in this country with the knowledge that these guys know! I am surprised that they joined the internet late, but they have been around for 15 years, and by joining the internet revolution, who knows what can happen!
I can't wait till there ecommerce section is up. I asked Steve when it would be up, and he told me soon! I think SubySpecialties is now on i-club! They are valuestar.com certified, meaning that they are the pinnacle of customer service! http://www.geocities.com/subyspecialties/vs.html. Anyone going to the meat (bbq) and greet?

Mike

Exclamation Worst Place Ever!

i believe this is the worst place ever!

1st experience: I went in to have a pully installed, made an appointment and what not, got quoted for 40 bucks over the phone. I went there 5-10 mins late, and the guy started to give me attitude claiming that the mechanic that was spose to do it had already left. He then put down the amount on the bill for 70.. WTF.. so i tell him.. and goes.. o really? and changes it.

2nd time: I wanted to go in to have my car checked since it was making loud squeeching noises. I arrived at the shop.. no appointment since it was urgent. I walk inside.. three mechanics sitting around.. talking not doing anything, 1 lift unoccupied. I asked them if they can take a look at my car, i didnt expect them to work on it or anything, just to diagnose the problem, and he answered with that i had to make an appointment, so i was waiting and wondering when and where i could make an appointment but no one gives me a response. One of the mechanics then gets up off his seat and hands me a business card since i was just standing there, and says that i should call at least 2 weeks in advance to have my car checked out!!!!

I dont know if its because of my age and the car i drive it seemed that Suby Specialties really disappointed me. THey were no where friendly and not even eager to help out a fellow suby owner.

^^ I don't know where you have been to, but that does not sound like Suby Specialties at all.

1) The only one that quotes you is Steve, and the only one that charges you is Steve.

Thumbs down Suby Specialities

Cant even trust Suby specialties in Monrovia!
I had a engine swap done in the last week of december and got my car back on Dec 30th and ever since the next day I got the car back I had problems with the car throwing a cel. When I called them and informed them of this I also let them know that I was going to pick
the engine up.They told me that I could pick it up anytime after jan 4th.After then I posted the engine on here for sale and needed someone to pick it up with the purchase because I didnt have a truck or time to pick it up.I got someone that was interested a couple of weeks ago
So I got my cousins friend to let us borrow a truck and when I was heading to the shop I called them to let them know I was on my way and.. I Steve told me over the phone that the only thing that was left from my engine was the intake manifold....

I told him I have sold the engine and it was supposed to be picked up this saturday and he didnt care.I told him if he could help me out for the sale lost at least and he refused.I gave him the last resort and told him I would have to file a police report and he said "go ahead, thats fine"

He could of at the very least called me to tell me he was giving away my engine ,he had my cell phone number !!!

why wouldn't you take it with you after the swap? There's no reason that they would need to hold on to it unless they were selling it.

You should have taken the motor with you. Also this should be posted in the review or regional section.

Sounds like you never called them either. You basically used their shop to store your engine for a couple months. "Anytime after Jan. 4" isn't the same thing as "leave it here as long as you want to". Yeah, selling it without calling you was a dick thing to do, but I'd say you should have made more of an effort too.

I believe they are open Tuesday through Saturday. So between Jan. 4th and now you couldn't find one day to pick it up? If you were so concerned about the engine, then you shoud've rented a truck and picked it up. That seems like a pretty long time for them to store your stuff for free. I don't blame SS for just getting rid of it if it has been sitting around the shop taking up space for 2 months.
