Have a wheel question related to the track

Ok thinking about getting a 17X8 wheel +49 offset for my STi.

Only problem is I will need a 3mm spacer to get them to fit past the brembos.

Is this a good idea or am I going to have lug length issues...lol, bearing problems, or overall strength problem with this at the track/on the street?

Also where is a good place to get 3mm spacers that are of good quality & a decent price.

What wheel are you thinking of getting? There are several 8" wide wheels that fit the STi Brembo's. Rota Torque's for example.

a set of SSRs that do not they definitely need a 3mm spacer.

Why can't you get that wheel in an offset that will allow you to run with out spacers?

was getting a good deal on a set with tires that are rare.

If you can find 3mm spacers that are hubcentric, then I would think it would be OK. Personally I would want to keep as much thread engagement as possible, so I would pass unless they were practically free.

yeah going to pass on them. Plus I found out the track I would be on doesn't allow spacers.

I want the damn Rota P45Fs to come out in a 17x8 or 8.5.....

Damn things only come in 18. damn 18s might of well be 20s an 18 IMO isn't a good track size or size for good tire options.
