Glad to see Paul on top, can't wait to see him work his magic again at the STPR next season. Also, what was Matt doing in an '83 VW?

Pretty cool event!

I felt bad for Ken and Alex, who were in the overall lead by 90 seconds when they went off on SS3. Drive of the event has to be Chris Duplessis!

By cool, do you mean cold? Wasn't bad, but the wind was rough.

Here is their impact. I was near there most of the event. I go away and then excitement happens.

I was very impressed by Chris' driving at MFR this summer. He and his family were also very nice people. I think he has a real future in rallying.

Rally Stuff

We followed Block and Choniere into the same hole/rock. Ken broke his control arm and we bent ours (his is aluminum ours steel). We got to the turn around, borrowed a second jack to push it out and then motored out with a heavily cracked control arm.

It was slick the second run through and no one even brought tractionized ice tires.

Some teams brought only gravel tires and they were all over the place.

But as usual we had some fun.

boy, this is making me bummed that we wont be running Sno*Drift anymore with the new chassis. Lots of fun sliding around on the snow & ice. (at least for us, cuz we do it all the time.)

Tim -

Dave Getchel had us throw on his tracionized snows for the afternoon...He said that they made a difference on SS3, but even pushing on SS4 he was 30 seconds slower!!! The temperature must have dropped 5 degrees between SS3 & SS4 and the road just seemed to freeze soild!!! Ask Matt Irro about his trip back on SS4 with snows on front and rally tires on the back of his gti.
