I think Santa is going to get me a pair of these for Christmas. I'm going to paint the red part black so they don't stand out as much.
Have you made anyone jump yet? |

I bought them but haven't installed them yet. Did you use the stock horn brackets for mounting?

All I did was unbolt the stock horns and then these bolted right up.
If you search hella supertones you'll find a few detailed info threads I took pictures of each bulb change but with the cammera it didn't seem that great so i didn't post then but they look a lot better nice white and clear. PS the fog is a bitch to change |

I hate those Silverstars - they don't last and are unreliable - though brighter, they aren't worth it. I had two low beams blow at the same time on my Baja, fortunately it was only dusk and I managed to get home before it got dark. I've had other Silverstars blow on me as well - on Maxima and a Civic - I plan on writing a complaint and mailing the spent ones back. Those bulbs cost way too much to blow that easy.

They blow out quickly because they have to overdrive the filament to overcome the light loss from the blue tint on the bulb. This shortens the bulb life considerably. Osram Silverstars are not overdriven. Dont confuse this with overwattage. Sylvanias are not overwattage but the filament is working overtime to make enough light. They suck.

Here is the deal I used the relay and it has Four plugs one from the Batt. One for the Stock horn to activate the relay, one for ground and one for power to the horns. also you have to ground the horns at them self
