06STI? warranty?

I doubt there's any listing on the aftermarket O2's for any 06's (too new) but unless they're identical to 05's..... who knows.

i just put on a turbo xs turbo back exhaust, and when i removed my o2 sensor from the cat, it was stripped, looked like the metal on it got melted. So it wouldnt fit into the test pipe.

when mine failed (rear o2) on my 99RS, it was covered under the 3year/36k miles warranty... but if you stripped it when changing exhaust, i doubt they'd cover it.

Maybe check with a local parts store (for a universal o2 sensor) or it's going to be a dealer only part.

I recently bought one for '02 wrx and it was around $120-150. Can't remember exactly but that should be a ballpark figure. I have since heard that they can be had for quite a bit less. I think there are only a few manufacturers around so a universal could very well work but I would try to get a definitive answer before trying that...there may be some variance to the connectors????
Good luck.

They can be kinda pricey I think the ones for the 2004 were about $150 for the front sensor and about $115 for the rear. That was at www.subaruparts.com. As for the univeral ones I think your need to find sensors with 4 wires but make sure you ask whoever you go with if the fit your application. i know bosch make a lot of O2 sensors. Good luck!

I had the exact same problem. The o2 was stripped from the factory. The price is about $180. Somewhere I read that Subaru used an off the shelf part and that the same o2 sensor was used in other car manufacturers products. Apparently the part is exactly the same and costs a lot less. I will try to find more info on this and post it soon.
