Default Airbag disable - How?

I am using my wrx for track days and want to turn the airbags off. Pulling the fuse is not an option because the airbag and ignition fuse are common. Any ideas how else I can disable the driver side airbag?

Out of curiosity...why would you WANT to disable the air bags?

Because I don't need them things going off just because I get a fair bump whilst circulating on the track. I don't think this is unusual. I cannot remember EVER seeing in car racing, air bags deploying in the event of a rear or front shunt. Do they use airbags in NASCAR? Just wondering......

I donít know how true this is but Iíve heard of some tracks requiring people to have their air bags disabled when they are wearing helmets.

Now just to figure out how? If someone could tell me where the sensor is, I could try unplugging that.........

I've been wondering this too. Airbags can be dangerous if you're wearing a full face helmet.

I don't think you have ever seen a NASCAR race. They love Airbags.
