Just for laughs, i've got a good "Head port comparison" for you guys...

Its some EJ25 N/A heads vs. EA61 heads (from a 1971 Subaru FF-1, the first boxer motor sold in the U.S... 1.1l displacement )

8V FTMFW!

I'm sure those are similar to the heads in the EA82 turbo sitting in my driveway.

The 8V is similar, but thats about it... These are pushrod, yours are OHC. Your EA82 heads are also quite a bit larger

I gathered that the turbo heads were modified compared to regulars. It also has a different cam profile? Mine isn't really running right now (starter committed sepuku while I was backing the beast in).

Nicely done Fuji. Now you just need cc's of chamber and intake ports

Here's a few pics of the exhaust ports. Looks to be only one variation per PHASE.

PHASE 2; EJ205, '01 EJ251

PHASE 1 EJ25D

You can see there's more valve guide support on the PHASE 1 head. When I did a comparison with the BIG PORTS and my '98 2.5L DOHC heads, this was apparent as well. This is why the EXHAUST side doesn't flow as well as the 2.5L SOHC head.

COBB CFM charts
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...5&postcount=15

Here's a pic that shows MORE into the intake ports of my ported WRX heads.
