What a lineup this will be Kimi, JPM, Alonso, i wonder who will get the 2(3?) seats , gosh i cant wait. Now i found a reason to hate alonso less for beating kimi, lol.

Agh I think either Juan or Kimi or both will be leaving when "lucky boy" Alonso comes walking through the door!

Kimi's and JPM's contracts expire after 2006. Now it is time to resume the Kimi @ Ferrari rumors

Here's an even better rumor : Valetine Rossi racing for Ferrari. He could be the second man on earth to win the world championship on both bike and GP car.

Who was the first you ask?

Alonso is moving to Vodofone McLaren Mercedes after 2006 to be perfectly correct.

Any particular reason for the move? Not successful enough at Renault?

Wanted a new challenge. Might have also wanted out of his contract with Flavio. He also knew for most of the season he didn't have the fastest car, that it was only the MP4/20 sucking ass the first part of the season which got him the championship.

As long as he doesn't switch for the money. It really irks me when athletes switch around to different teams for a "few extra million" here and there. It's like they have no dedication left to the sport.

+1 million.
I personally, would go kimi and alonso for both seats, and JPM, well, i love JPM but iono bout his future. And personally, i wouldnt want kimi at ferrari, i just think it is wierd with him not on a german backed team, just so used to it.

I never liked these kind of predictions. I mean, so much can happen in 2 seasons that to me, it's silly to say this person is coming to team X and team Y will get that person. McLaren can fall way back, Honda,or BWM can become dominant, who knows?

Nobody is thinking about him but the guy to look out for is fellow American Scott Speed... I wil say it now he will be the first American F1 Champion in the History books... give him 3 years if not next year.

If Scott Speed does become champion I will be very surprised. He is good for sure but he really hasn't blown me away as of yet. Not to mention there is no way that he will have the machine to do it next year. STR is junior team and think they will be happy to come home with points for the most part. If he moves to a "bigger" team in the future he may have a shot but I will have to wait and see. I will be pulling for him without a doubt.

There has been 2 American F1 Champs already.

Born in Italy but raised in Nazareth Pennsylvania.

Mario's first win came on a dirt track, he's about as American a driver as they come.

I know where he was raised. I used to live within 2 hours of there and I met his grandson racing karts several years back in NY. But I could have sworn he was considered an Italian driver. Guess I am proven wrong. Oh well there are worse things to be wrong about.

No, and he would be the third champion. He'll need to move away from Scuderia Toro Rosso to have any chance at the championship. I will be cheering for him, but he has to impress me a lot more then he has in GP2.

Before he becomes a champion Heikki Kovalainen and Nico Rosberg will become champions so in other words, he's fast but not a champion material.
And yeah, Kimi in Ferrari sure seems more likely and Jean Todt would love a Finn in his car, after all his (Todts) years in rallying he knows he needs a Finn to win

Nah, he's as about as American of a driver as you can get. Indy cars, dirt track, everything else with a gas pedal.

I actually thought he was even born in America, shows you what I know. But he's so tied in to american racing, that I doubt he would claim anything else.

How about a Schumacher and Montoya swap? Two latin-speaking drivers at Ferrari, and Schumi in his farewell with a somewhat German team...?

McLaren = Kimi + Schumi
Ferrari = Montoya + Massa

I think Schumi might be out in 07, especially if Ferrari is crap this year too. I don't think McLaren wants to have two new drivers in 07.
