CEL just under 70K

It came on this morning. Totally stock 02 WRX. The 60K service hasnt been done yet. Will the CEL come on simply for that reason?

no the MIL only comes on for emissions related problems, not doing a 60k maintenance has nothing to do with it.

yea go get it read by autozone or a friend that has a scanner and post the code up here (in Pxxxx format). Don't clear it out of the system until you check it.

All the sudden its off.. It went on for two days..

Get it scanned anyway. The code remains in the ECU memory even if the light goes off. The fact that it went off means that the ECU didn't detect the condition for the most recent driving cycles, but this does not mean that whatever caused it to come on has gone away for good. You still need to know why it came on.
