PM me to trade.

Default would this rim fit 255/45/17 nitto555rs under the fenders of my bugeye?

I am looking at these rims. Would they be able to mount 255/45/17 nitto 555r extreme tires? Then once they are on, (which im sure will work) will they then fit under my fenders? I drive an 02 WRX lowered really low on tein suspension. I have the tires already, and just need to figure out the right offset and width! Thanks!!!

here are the numbers

02 WRX
really low
17" x 7.5 wide
45mm offset
255/45/17 tires

Thaniks!!! Merry christmas!

Even if they fit, your terrible WRX gearing just got worse.

terrible WRX gearing is a very relative thing. I really am ok with it, and wouldnt mind it being alittle higher.

these tires are like 1.2 inches taller than stock.

Ok, you say your car is already pretty low.

which most likely means very little suspension travel as is.

lowering the car even more will allow for even less.

you'd most likely want an 8" wheel to fit 255s.

you might want to look into something with a little higher offset +48 should be better.

the +45mm might be pushing it.

Plus with the added height you will need to make sure the tires are indeed inside the fender and not "flush"

Good luck and I'd suggest something of the 17x8 +47 thru +50mm offset range.

I will not be getting those rims. I want to go as wide as 8 or 8.5. I dont know much about it, but I really like the idea of doing taller tires. This thread, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...8&page=1&pp=25 is a really good one.

That tire is to tall to fit unless you raise the car way up. It will rub the front fender liner and your rear fenders unless you have those rolled out.

Are you low or not? With 245/45/17s any lower than 13.5" rideheight (which isnt that low) and 550lb springs I rub the front fender liners.

my car is on teins, i dont know exactly what it is at, it looks like this. ..

I can go lower too, and my spring rate is adjustable, so I can tighten it to obnoxiously tight levels.

with tires that wide and tall, you might want to think about RAISING your coilovers. Also, your car will be noticeably slower. Your spring rates are not adjustable, unless you get new springs.

adjustable spring rate? what tein's are you running on? dual height adjustable flexs? that can't be, the springs are too soft on those, tein ra's? those aren't dual height adjustable. re's? wait, those don't have adjustable spring rates as well

Hey everyone just a quick bump... I got rims. They are Rota attacks 17" with +48 offset. I might need to get new tires, because these rims are only "7.5 That means these tires might not being mounted on such narrow rims. Idunno. For the next little while, I will be running around on a set of snow tires, so Ive got some time to decide on maybe buying a set of new tires, or getting a new set of rims that are wider.

Any input?

Pulling your plastic fender liners out?

Those tires should NOT be mounted on a 7.5" wide rim. At the MOST you might be able to do a 245/45-17, but even that is really too wide for a 7.5" wide wheel. I'd suggest 225/45-17 and be done with it.

^^agreed...don't do it, stick to the 225s, the 255s are WAY to wide for a 7.5"

*and before all the nay-sayers come in and argue, i know it can be done, but should it?*
