Default The OFFICIAL MAIC "Where to get your car tuned" thread.

There are several options around here, depending on what engine management you're using.

"Where to get your car tuned" FAQ

Does shop [x] do tuning? What kinds?
Good question. If they are not on the list, this is a good place to ask.

I live in [y], with [z] mods, who should I get to tune my car?
You should start a new thread for your situation. This is a factual thread, only.

I just got tuned by [banana] and it was great!
Find the vendor review thread for your tuner and post your experience there.

I just got tuned by [banana] and my engine asplode!
Find the vendor review thread for your tuner and post your experience there.

[kumquat] FTW! They ROCKSZORO!!!
Find the vendor review thread for your tuner and post your experience there.

Silly Porter, that's not Mid-A, but of course you'd have to give them a plug.

Just FYI, Phil at Element uses the dynojet at Altered Atmosphere for the dyno portion of his tuning, and obviously, this would locate him in Gaithersburg if you went that route.

I got tuned at Xotic by Andy. Awesome tuner! I have a UTEC, but I'm pretty sure Andy can tune ANY kind of EM for just about every car ever made. My brother is taking his DSM out with me next time I head out there.
I have a strong stance against the SBR shop. There are plenty of documented cases where they've destroyed vehicles on and off the dyno, and a couple of bikes too. Nate seems to be the only reputable person there and the only person to consider trusting with Suby's.

Dan has said that he is the one doing the tuning, so I listed it under Mach V. AFAIK that's right.

I can't find a vendor account. All I see is SlowboyNRS who is not a vendor but has a WWW link pointing to a business website (which is a no-no around these parts)

well, there is a local shop here in VA called DeltaV that i posted. theyre located downtown Richmond on boulevard near velocty motorcycles and river city tattoo etc...

but i would amke an extra effort to go up north to MachV or something i mean i know of more people who have dealt with MachV then DeltaV as far as subarus go.
