Default Legacy Autocross Question

I have an 01 legacy GT ltd. and I just wanted to find out if anyone knows what stock class the scca puts the legacy in. I did my first autocross saturday and they put me in with the rs guys in g stock I did very well but I was just wondering if they give us any slack for the 300lb handicap?
thanks

E-Stock if you're, um, stock, or C-Street Prepared if you start to mess with stuff (as I have). Seven events this year, one 3rd place finish (on stock springs and struts), six 1st place finishes (on DMS Golds).

PS - The club I run with (non-SCCA) uses SCCA rules, but doesn't run Street Touring, so I run CSP.

Default ok, one more question

now that I know which class, I was curious if anyone knew what could be modified and still stay in E stock, i would have bought a rule book at the last race but they sold out just before I got there.
Specifically wheels, tires, exhaust and body (front bumper, aero kits etc.)
thanks

Check out http://www.best.com/~mouton/sccasolo/ for a very good summary for each class. For the stock rules in particular, go here: http://www.best.com/~mouton/sccasolo/Rules/stock.html .

As far as the few things you mentioned:
  • Wheels must be same diameter and width as a stock or optional wheel (in other words, they must by 16x6.5")
  • Basically any DOT-legal tires that will fit inside the fenders are OK (you're limited by wheel width realistically, as a 6.5" wheel won't support a very fat tire)
  • Cat-back exhaust is allowed
  • Body kits could be a tough call. According to 13.2.A "... appearance... modifications which have no effect on performance and/or handling and do not materially reduce the weight of the car are permitted." When you first start out, you almost certainly won't be competitive, so nobody will care if you have a body kit on the car. If you start to become competitive, though, that same body kit might become an issue, as your competition might claim that it provides a performance and/or handling benefit.
